Training

To help you perform at the highest level, Advantage Sports has created a extensive training facility adjacent to its' Ann Arbor store. This 6,000 square foot facility has batting cages, a turfed field, and synthetic ice and is available for teams or individuals looking to improve their performance.

One of the most unique things about the facility is the Skating Treadmill and Strideboard.

The skating treadmill is an 8' x7' synthetic ice treadmill that players wear their skates to train on. It has all of the expected features of a treadmill, it has variable speeds, and can be controlled for incline as well, up to a 35% grade. There is a large full view mirror whereby players can get instant visual feedback for stride technique self-analysis. The treadmill can also go in reverse allowing players to face away from the mirror and perform stickhandling and shooting maneuvers.

Through a partnership with Hockey University, professional hockey coach Carrie Kiel uses the facility for individual and team workouts. Coach Kiel is also available for individual workouts. To book an appointment with her, please call 734-323-3193 or .
