Advantage Sports announces our baseball instructors for 2013-2014 off-season:
Alan Oaks (White Lake, Michigan) -
Alan is in his second year with Advantage Sports. Alan played last season with the Normal Cornbelters of the Frontier League where he set a team record with 14 saves. Alan's season was strong enough that the Chicago Cubs have purchased his rights and he will be in spring training with them. Alan played at the University of Michigan from 2007-2010 and was an 8th round draft pick of the Florida Marlins. Alan will be giving lessons in pitching, hitting and fielding. Alan is available for lessons Tues. and Thurs. from 3pm-8pm, Sat. 8am-11am, and, Sun. 9am-Noon.
Tyler Burgoon (Defiance, Ohio) -
Tyler is in his first year with Advantage Sports. Tyler finished last season with the Mariner's AAA Tacoma Rainiers. Tyler played at the University of Michigan from 2008-2010 and was named Second Team All-Big Ten in 2010. Tyler was named Relief Pitcher of the Year in the Cape Cod league in 2009. Tyler was drafted in the 10th round by the Seattle Mariners. Tyler will be giving lessons in pitching, hitting and catching. Tyler is available for lessons Mon., Wed., and Thurs. from 4pm-8pm, Friday 6pm-8pm, Sat. 11am-3pm and, Sun. 1pm-5pm. To sign up for lessons with Alan or Tyler call (734) 369-4944.
Andy Paulun (Dexter, Michigan) -
Andy is in his third year with Advantage Sports. Andy has been teaching pitching and hitting for the past 4 years. Andy played professionally for two years after leaving Spring Arbor University where he led his team to the College World Series. Andy was named NAIA First Team All American in 2009. Andy gives lessons in hitting and pitching. Andy is available by appointment only. Call (734) 320-8027.
